Bigfoot: The truth?

August 16, 2008

Now, before I start, I’d like to say that with things like this; Bigfoot, Dragons, Sucuriju, etc. I have a very open mind. If it is a possible event, however unlikely, that does mean it is fake? Bluntly put—No.

The other day I was about to leave the house when this story appeared on CNN. The body of a Bigfoot species, found and documented.

Of all the myths, there are some that I believe and some I don’t. For example, the Sucuriju—a huge snake species that lives in the amazon supposedly around 40 meters long—is something I believe in. It’s not documented, but does how does that mean it does not exist?

Bigfoot, however, happened to be one of those things that I never felt a strong belief in. It’s not that it seemed unrealistic or anything, but it was just not something I was really interested in. This story, however, has gotten my attention. It seems like a valid claim, and I’m now an advocate of Bigfoot’s existence. Still, that little sliver of skepticism is with me. There have been so many false claims by people that Bigfoot exists that I can’t help but wonder if this is no different.

What do you think? Do you believe in Bigfoot? Do you believe this story? Do you believe in anything of this sort?

The story comes to me as little more than another one of those, “I saw the Loch Ness Monster!” claims. Where as I’d like to believe that Bigfoot in fact exists, I too am held down by that annoying little skeptic that seems to take home in all of us.

My opinion is, if you believe something to be true, don’t let anyone hold you back in believing it.

What makes you happy, makes you happy. Don’t let anyone sever that innocence. :]

Hey, cool tips. Perhaps I’ll buy a bottle of beer to that man from that chat who told me to go to your blog :)
